Ndlala Grandeur is adding more international R&B names to its December concert, with Canadian duo Dvsn and American singer Eric Benet joining Tamar Braxton and Ricco Ross on the line-up.

Dvsn, made up of Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, will perform on December 17, marking their second visit to South Africa after last year’s “Once Upon A Time” concerts in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Their return comes after they promised fans they would be back.

2. Ayanda Thabethe is expecting another baby

Actress Londeka Sishi is preparing to become a mother of two after announcing that she is expecting her second child.

The “Uzalo” and “Adulting” actress shared the news with photographs of her baby bump and a sonogram, turning the announcement into a playful reveal for her followers.

“What did you guys have for breakfast/ Lunch? I’m kind of full… Tadaaaa!!! 15/03/26 I’ve been marked for life. Amaz’uThixo,” she wrote in the caption.

Sishi is already a mother to daughter Liyana. Her latest pregnancy announcement gives fans another glimpse into that part of her life as she prepares to welcome her second baby.

4. Presley Gerber dies at 27

Presley Gerber, the son of model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at 27.

According to records obtained by “People”, Gerber died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility. An autopsy had not yet been completed, according to “TMZ”, which first reported his death.

Gerber had followed his mother into modelling and was also the brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

In recent years, he had spoken openly about his experiences with mental health and substance abuse. He described mental health as a major part of his life and said he hoped talking about his experiences could help others avoid some of the mistakes he had made.

5. Ella Langley overtakes Mariah Carey on Billboard chart

Country singer Ella Langley has broken a US chart record previously held by Mariah Carey.

Her song “Choosin’ Texas” has now spent 23 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, moving past Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, which had held the record with 22 weeks.

The song, released in 2025 as the lead single from Langley’s second album, “Dandelion”, has also reportedly topped the UK singles chart. Its US success has been driven by continued streaming and radio play, giving the 27-year-old singer a major career milestone.

Carey’s festive hit had built its record over multiple periods at the top of the chart since its release in 1994.

6. Chris Brown says he is ready to be the 'villain'

Chris Brown has reignited a familiar debate around his public image after posting a lengthy message on his Instagram aimed at critics, the music industry and people he believes have shown him “fake love”.

The R&B star declared himself “the best” and said he was tired of being concerned with other people’s opinions, ending the message with, “I’ll be the villain.”

His comments followed controversy surrounding an honour he received alongside Usher during their “R&B” tour stop in Texas. State Rep Venton Jones later apologised to constituents for recognising Brown, citing the singer’s history of domestic violence.

Brown responded by accusing Jones of seeking to avoid losing political support after initially approaching him about the honour.

7. Jojo Robinson celebrates 12 years of marriage

Real Housewives of Durban star Jojo Robinson marked 12 years of marriage to former professional boxer and businessman Calven Robinson with a look back at their wedding day.

The couple celebrated their anniversary on September 20, with Jojo sharing an old video from their wedding alongside a tribute to her husband, whom she affectionately calls “Boo Bear”.

Describing their life together as “magical”, Jojo thanked Calven for the years they have shared and signed off her message with a reference to the family they have built.

“12 Years of The Robinsons. Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. The definition of what A MAN is meant to be. A life so magical it should be a Disney movie. Jojo + Boo Bear + Rocky Forever,” she wrote.

8. Cassper Nyovest’s Million Voices gets 'Universal Music SA' backing

Cassper Nyovest’s “Million Voices” initiative has received a R25,000 contribution from Universal Music South Africa as the rapper continues his campaign against period poverty.

Launched in July, the initiative aims to raise R100 million to reach one million girls and young women with reusable menstrual hygiene kits and educational support. The campaign is being run alongside the Afribiz Entertainment Foundation.

Nyovest has previously linked the campaign to his experience as a father, saying the lack of access to basic menstrual products can prevent girls from attending school and taking part in opportunities.

9. Zakes Bantwini and Nota put podcast comments behind them

Zakes Bantwini and music critic Nota appear to have cleared the air after Bantwini confronted him in person over comments he made about Bantwini’s song “Osama” on the “Music Pulse” podcast.

Bantwini shared a video of the pair laughing together after crossing paths, explaining that he asked Nota to repeat what he had previously said about him directly and the two laughed it off.

In his post, Bantwini said there was “no bad blood” between them and described the exchange as “all love”. The moment came as “Osama”, Bantwini’s popular song, played in the background.
