While at first, this shift was not particularly everyone’s cup of tea, unconventional maternity style slowly grew to become the norm and a favourite among expecting moms.
Joining the list of unconventional maternity style is American actress Anne Hathaway, who revealed back in June that she is expecting her third child.

The boho minidress
While attending “The Odyssey" premiere in London, the actress wore a white boho-chic minidress by Blumarine.
The dress featured a halter neck design with cascading ruffles and a train of shredded cloth around her legs.
She paired the dress with Gianvito Rossi brown knee-high boots and a gold watch. She kept her make-up pretty minimal, giving off the "clean girl" aesthetic.
The red monochrome ensemble
In New York, Hathaway stepped out in a red jumpsuit by Ashlyn from their Spring 2026 collection that featured a scooped neckline and a flared peplum waist.
She paired this jumpsuit with strappy red heels to match the ensemble, sunglasses and gold jewellery.
“The Devil Wears Prada” actress made headlines back in June after she shared that she was not aware that she wore the jumpsuit backwards.
The white crop top and pleated pants
Hathaway wore a white halter crop top with a dramatic fringe that created a train while attending “The Odyssey” press tour, which subtly showcased her growing baby bump.
She completed the ensemble with coordinating low-rise pleated trousers and gold wrist bracelets.
To complement the outfit, she selected a nude lip shade and opted for curly hair, perfectly matching the basic, comfortable vibe of the overall look.
The sheer brown gown
While in Paris, she stunned in a sheer brown gown that featured a leathered top with ruffled detailing on the shoulders.
The custom Louis Vuitton ensemble swiftly transitions into a full pleated sheer skirt that drapes loosely from the waist down to her feet. She paired it with a gold Bvlgari necklace and diamond earrings.
Hathaway kept her make-up warm and opted for neutral tones including her lips.
The strapless blue gown
The 43-year-old also donned a stunning, strapless blue gown from Dior, which featured pleats and dramatic draping on the front.
The strapless ensemble also featured a sculptural top, which resembled a flower. Letting the gown have its moment, Hathaway kept the look minimal with just drop earrings and wore matching blue heels.
To complete the look, she chose a bold red lip, giving her an effortless glamorous finish.
